Two teenagers arrested after kidnapping and weapons incident in Boston

BOSTON – Two 15-year-old boys were arrested Thursday on multiple weapons charges following reports of a kidnapping and an armed confrontation in Dorchester, police said.

At 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a kidnapping at 54 Armandine Street.

They were told that three men had kidnapped a teenager at gunpoint after a dispute over a scooter.

About 30 minutes later, police received a report of an armed person near 180 Westview St. Officers were provided descriptions of two male juveniles who were suspected to be in possession of firearms.

After a short chase, the police were able to locate and arrest both suspects.

A search of the area revealed two discarded firearms – a 9mm Smith & Wesson with a laser flashlight and 15 rounds and a Polymer 80 with 16 rounds.

The two 15-year-olds are accused of, among other things, illegal possession of weapons, illegal possession of ammunition, assault with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery and kidnapping.

They are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

During the incident, the victim was reportedly driven to the Franklin Field area in an unknown vehicle.

No information was given about the condition of the victim or the third suspect mentioned in initial reports.
