Orlando teenager arrested for threatening officer on social media

A 16-year-old student was arrested after she was accused of threatening a public official over social media, according to Orlando police. Orlando police officers said they were notified of a social media post that threatened deadly force against a public official. They were able to identify the 16-year-old and found she was a student at Lake Nona High School, according to Orlando police. Police said the student was arrested and charged with making a written/electronic threat of murder or physical injury. The U.S. Secret Service is assisting with the investigation.
