Arrests made in Manchester murder case linked to gang activity

MANCHESTER, Georgia (WTVM) – Authorities in Meriwether County say several arrests have been made in connection with the investigation into a murder in Manchester.

Deputies said several arrest and search warrants were executed Friday morning following a multi-agency operation. That operation, authorities said, resulted in arrests and evidence related to the murder of 46-year-old Kim Harvey-Pollard.

Meriwether County Sheriff Chuck Smith said the arrests were also related to the activities of criminal street gangs.

On March 19, 2023, shortly before midnight, authorities responded to the victim's home on Tuskegee Street for a shooting. First responders later found Harvey-Pollard lying in her bed with at least one gunshot wound. She later succumbed to her injuries.

The Meriwether County Sheriff's Office is expected to release further details on the investigation at a press conference later next week.
