Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro fight

Jane's Addiction have canceled a performance in the USA after an argument broke out on stage between frontman Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro.

The band was playing in Boston on Friday night (US time) when Farrell suddenly bumped into Navarro as they were finishing a song and shortly thereafter tried to hit him.

Footage of the incident was shared by concertgoers on Twitter and YouTube.

Roadies stepped in to keep the duo apart before eventually crowding around Farrell and dragging him off the stage.

Navarro, who seemed shocked by the sudden attack, returned a slight shove before walking away and putting down his guitar.

He walked to the other side of the stage, where he hugged his other band members and threw a guitar pick into the crowd before leaving the stage, seemingly sending the message that the band was done for the night.

Responding to the YouTube clip, user @lightnheat wrote: “Sad end to the show. I'm on my way home now and I still can't believe that just happened. From where we were, we didn't know exactly what happened.”

Twitter users also reacted to a clip of concertgoer Rich Whitaker's fight.

Nate – also known @coolsneakers16 wrote: “Come on, man. You were born in the 50s, calm down,” while

Stevie_Nickels declared: “You're too damn old for that.”

Jane's Addiction were on a reunion tour through the USA. But in a recent interview with Guitar WorldBassist Eric Avery wasn’t sure if the band would still exist in 2025.

“I still don't know if we're a band that you can assume will still be around in a year,” he told the outlet. “That being said, yes… there's a revival and a reconnection. Let's hope it lasts.”
