US Marshals arrest Austin murder suspect wanted for July 2021 stabbing

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, led by U.S. Marshals, arrested a man accused of stabbing and killing another man in southeast Austin in July 2021.

Austin police said Mithovar Christopher Antoine Jr., 22, of Temple, is a suspect wanted for stabbing 23-year-old Nikolas Martinez in the 2000 block of South Interstate 35 on July 23, 2021. The victim drove himself to a Conoco gas station to get help after the stabbing.

The emergency services attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The APD Homicide Unit continued its investigation and obtained an arrest warrant on Wednesday, September 11, and requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals in locating and arresting Antoine, who was in the temple at the time.

Antoine was taken to the Bell County Jail and remanded to await extradition to Austin. His bail was set at $150,000.
