Wanted driver arrested after hit-and-run accident

MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) – A California driver was arrested Friday after leading police on a high-speed chase.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver of a white Ford Expedition was wanted in connection with a possible hit-and-run accident.

The driver, believed to be believing a woman, was also wanted for reckless driving and led police on a chase through streets and highways in several Southern California counties.

The video shows the driver driving erratically through traffic before stopping and being arrested by police officers in Monterey Park.

The pursuit is believed to have begun in Hesperia and was initiated by San Bernardino authorities before being taken over by the CHP on the ground and in the air.

Motorists in the area were urged to exercise caution during the chase.
