Tom Brady responds to Eli Manning's dig at Birmingham vs Wrexham

As his former NFL rival Eli Manning joined Wrexham fans before the Welsh team's game against Birmingham City on Monday, Tom Brady boasted about his Super Bowl success.

Brady, who owns a 3.3 percent stake in Birmingham, was challenged by Manning on Friday after the former New York Giants quarterback was drafted by Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, according to an official statement from the club.

Manning commented on the post, writing: “Now I can beat @tombrady at football and fútbol! Go @wrexham_afc!”

Brady responded with a video shared on his official X account in which he can be seen waving a Super Bowl trophy and addressing McElhenney directly.

“I've been working on a little response video for Eli and I've been looking around the house, but I can't find the other six. [trophies].

“Rob, can you tell the Wrexham fans a bit about the history of the NFL? Thanks mate, see you on Monday.”

Brady has won seven Super Bowls in his illustrious football career, while Manning has won the sport's most prestigious award twice – both times defeating Brady and the New England Patriots.

Monday's clash at St. Andrew's in Birmingham, England, sees two unbeaten teams in League One meet. Wrexham are top of the English third tier with four wins and one draw, while Birmingham have played four games and have three wins and one draw.

The game was unofficially called the “Hollywood Derby.”
