1 dead, another in hospital in multi-vehicle crash on Bishop Ford Freeway

CHICAGO (CBS) – One person died in a multi-vehicle crash on the Bishop Ford Freeway early Saturday morning.

The accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on the I-94 southbound ramp to I-80 eastbound.

According to the Illinois State Police, five vehicles were involved in the accident.

One person was pronounced dead. Another person was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

The cause of the accident is unclear. The ramp was closed for investigation.
