NC State QB Grayson McCall leaves game against Louisiana Tech due to injury

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — NC State quarterback Grayson McCall left Saturday's game against Louisiana Tech due to an injury in the second quarter and it was announced he would be out for the rest of the day.

Louisiana Tech led 7-6 just before halftime when McCall's status was announced, but the nature of the injury was not disclosed. He had completed 9 of 13 passes for 54 yards and had a team-high 22 rushing yards at the time of his exit.

McCall was considered one of the country's top pickups in the transfer portal last offseason after playing parts of five seasons for Coastal Carolina.

True freshman CJ Bailey from Miami replaced McCall.
