KTR: No untoward incident in the name of regional passions during BRS rule

HYDERABAD

BRS vice-chairman KT Rama Rao has reiterated that all citizens of Hyderabad are Telanganites and the party's commitment has been proved beyond doubt during the ten-year rule of the KCR government. There have been no untoward incidents in the name of regional interests, he said.

KTR accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of fomenting regional unrest in Hyderabad as the people of Greater Hyderabad had strongly supported BRS in the assembly elections. “He is doing this so that the post of Chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) goes to Congress through backdoor politics as BRS MP Arekapudi Gandhi from Serilingampally has openly joined the ruling party,” he said.

Mr. Revanth Reddy personally welcomed Mr. Gandhi to the Congress and the latter publicly announced that he would join the ruling party to develop his constituency.

Speaking here on Saturday, he expressed the view that the attack on Mr Kaushik Reddy's residence could have been prevented by police restrictions on Mr Gandhi's movement, but the police preferred to give Mr Gandhi a free hand and confine Mr Kaushik Reddy to his house.
