Man kills one person and injures two before committing suicide on Jackson Street

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – Alexandria Police have released new details in the investigation into a murder-suicide that occurred on September 13 in the 3400 block of Jackson Street.

According to APD, a man named Jimmy Nguyen (28) entered his business on Jackson Street around 7:30 p.m., opened fire on three people involved and then turned the gun on himself, taking his own life.

Two of the victims were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The third victim, identified as Tai Nguyen, 32, was killed in the shooting.

The APD confirmed that this was a domestic incident.
