Angel Sperry arrested for assault, returns to crime scene and charged with trespassing

HANOVER – On August 18, 2024, Hanover Township Police Officer Carlos Najera charged Angel Sperry, 35, of Budd Lake, with several misdemeanors. Hanover Township Police Officer Najera was present at the Scottish Inn for a reported dispute.

After an investigation, it was determined that the argument had escalated into a physical altercation. Ms. Sperry was charged with simple assault and subsequently released. Management asked Ms. Sperry not to return to the property and she was advised that returning could result in her arrest for trespassing.

Approximately 20 minutes later, officers found Ms. Sperry back at the hotel with belongings that did not belong to her. After further investigation, additional charges were considered.
