Middletown police seize drugs and arrest suspect after chase

MIDDLETOWN – The Middletown Police Department’s Street Crimes and Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration in the Hartford office, arrested 31-year-old Dvonte Tenn on Sept. 13 following a short foot chase.

The arrest occurred after a search warrant was executed on Tenn's home and vehicle.

During the search, approximately 165.2 grams of fentanyl, 182 grams of crack cocaine, 135.1 grams of cocaine, as well as drug packaging material, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and a significant amount of US dollars were found.

Tenn faces several charges, including two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of more than 28 grams of fentanyl with intent to sell, two counts of possession of more than half an ounce of cocaine or cocaine base with intent to sell, operating a drug factory, criminal possession of ammunition and obstructing police work.

He was held on $1,000,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on September 16 at GA 9.
