Four people charged with drug offenses after traffic stop in Salamanca

Four people were arrested on multiple drug charges after officers stopped their vehicle on South Main Street in Salamanca early Friday, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office reported.

Taken into custody were Bradley E. Gable, 38, described as homeless; Charles E. Braswell, 39, of Gowanda Zoar Road, Gowanda; Kayla M. Mitchell, 26, of Otterbecker Road, Lawtons; and Brynn A. Haskins, 40, of Ferguson, Kentucky.

All were arraigned in Ellicottville Municipal Court. Gable was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail. Braswell was held on $10,000 bail. Mitchell and Haskins were released pending their appearance in Salamanca Municipal Court.

According to the report, officers searched the pair's vehicle after stopping it at around 2:15 a.m. and seized 33.2 grams (approximately 1.17 ounces) of suspected fentanyl, 4.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 1.8 grams of suspected crystal meth, 7.1 grams of suspected amphetamine tablets, 7 grams of suspected clonazepam tablets, various drug paraphernalia and $4,347 in cash.
