Police are looking for an “unknown person” in connection with the investigation into theft at a pharmacy in Mount Sterling

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (FOX 56) – Police are seeking information in connection with a theft investigation after a person allegedly forced his way through a brick wall into a Mount Sterling drug store in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) posted on Facebook shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday that officers were looking for information about a suspected theft at Ross Drugs in Mount Sterling.

It happened just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday when an unknown person allegedly “forcefully entered through the perimeter wall and stole large quantities of controlled substances,” officials said.

Law enforcement said any information that may help in locating the unknown person can be forwarded to the MCSO's Facebook page, or by calling the Sheriff's Office at (859) 498-8704 or the Montgomery County Dispatch Center at (859) 498-8720.
