Man suspected of killing his sister in Riverside is arrested – San Bernardino Sun

A man suspected of shooting his sister in Riverside on Wednesday was arrested Friday morning, Sept. 13, Riverside police said.

The victim, Adrienne Johnson, 45, left her workplace at 6900 Jurupa Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, Officer Ryan Railsback said. She was getting into her car when the suspect, later identified as her brother, David Johnson, 51, pulled up behind her. He fired several shots at her, killing her at the scene, police said.

Johnson drove away from the scene and eluded police until he was arrested on Phoenix Avenue in Riverside, police said. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of first-degree murder and held without bail.

The motive for the murder is unknown, police said.
