UFC 306: O'Malley vs. Dvalishvili, preliminary results

The rising Brazilian was the faster, sharper and more active of the two from the start, taking a quick lead before breaking the slow-starting Aldana before the performance picked up on both sides in the second set, leaving the tireless Mexican wearing a crimson mask after a clash of heads. Aldana turned up the pressure and had her greatest success in the third set, but Dumont was still able to land her own good shots and fend off her attacks.

Dumont picked up a clear victory to secure her fifth straight win and improve her record in the Octagon to 8-2 overall. The 33-year-old has now knocked out a former champion and a former title challenger in back-to-back fights and should find herself in the top five when the rankings are updated next week.
