No. 9 Tennessee improved to 3-0 during the regular season. The Vols beat Kent State (0-3) 71-0 on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.

After the win, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media and discussed the Vols’ victory.

“First of all, with our fans, it was a great atmosphere to come back,” said Heupel. “Vol Walk was electric, full. There were a lot of former players there. There were former basketball players there. DK (Dalton Knecht) is also back. It's great that so many former players are coming back and are also there.”

“Just like a football team, we started fast. There are some hurdles we have to overcome, but overall we played well on defense, controlling the line of scrimmage and getting off the field on third down. On offense, we were able to run the football and create some big plays as well. The special teams played a solid performance.”
