Arrest in murder of Dallas man trying to stop robbery

This week on “Trackdown,” Dallas Police Department detectives are searching for two men who shot and killed Good Samaritan Quentin Gellington as he stepped in to stop a robbery, and the driver of the car that struck him when he crashed.

DALLAS – Police have made an arrest in connection with a murder that was featured on FOX 4's “Trackdown.”

Forney Police arrested 23-year-old Adrion Brown and charged him with the murder of 38-year-old Quentin Gellington in October 2023.

Detectives told FOX 4's Shaun Rabb that Gellington intervened during a robbery on Village Fair Drive and attempted to defend the victim.

The two attempted robbers then turned on Gellington and shot him.

He was then run over by a car.

Gellington was pronounced dead at the hospital. A bystander woman was also shot. She was treated and released.

Police have not released any information about what led them to Brown or what role he allegedly played in the murder.

Brown is currently incarcerated in the Dallas County Jail.

According to police, Gellington was the father of two children.
