UFC 306 Bonuses: Esteban Ribovics and Daniel Zellhuber win $50,000 for Fight of the Year Contender

Esteban Ribovics and Daniel Zellhuber were generously rewarded for their bid for the title of “Fight of the Year”.

On Saturday night, Ribovics and Zellhuber met in a lightweight bout on the main card of UFC 306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas, and for 15 minutes the two hopefuls engaged in one of the best fights of the year. The third round was particularly exciting, as both men were badly hurt in places but still fought through a wild brawl until the final bell. Ultimately, Ribovics went home with a points victory, but both men were well compensated, receiving $50,000 in fight bonuses.

Ignacio Bahamondes and Ketlen Souza also leave UFC 306 $50,000 richer, receiving bonuses for their stoppage wins in the preliminary fights, the only two final results of the evening. Bahamondes scored a nasty first-round knockout of Manuel Torres in their lightweight bout, and Souza scored a technical rear-naked choke of Yazmin Jauregui.
