Drug raid in Delhi: Police catch three African nationals and confiscate 8 kg of meth worth several million euros | News from Delhi

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police recently arrested an international drug trafficker Drug cartel and arrested three of its key members. He also confiscated 8 kg Methamphetamine with an estimated international market value over Rs 30 crore.
The arrested personsall African originAccording to police, the accused include Abisola Deborah Akinwumi (37) and Samuel Dickson Edioh (34) from Nigeria and Henshaw Victoria (34) from Ghana.
On September 3, police received a tip-off from their informant about a Nigerian woman smuggling a significant amount of methamphetamine at the Dhaula Kuan bus stop.
A raid was immediately carried out and Akinwumi was arrested. She was found with 4 kg of methamphetamine hidden in a packet of basmati rice.
Information from Akinwumi led police to Edioh, who was arrested at his rented apartment in Tughlaqabad Extension, where officers discovered another 2 kg of methamphetamine.
Further questioning of Edioh revealed the whereabouts of his accomplice Victoria. She was arrested on September 4th in her nearby apartment, where another 1.9 kg of methamphetamine was seized.
The cartel’s approach included Drug smuggling Hidden in secret compartments in luggage, the contraband is transported by long-distance buses from Delhi to cities such as Bangalore and Mumbai.
After delivering the drugs, the carriers usually returned to Delhi by plane. The network mainly operated in market areas such as Janakpuri, Vikaspuri and Greater Kailash.
