Officials seek answers in tragic Port Orchard car crash – KIRO 7 News Seattle

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — Officials with the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office are investigating the cause of a crash that left one person dead and another seriously injured.

On Friday at approximately 8:52 p.m., the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of a car crash near the intersection of Glenwood Road Southwest and Southwest Wildwood Road.

When officers arrived, a silver BMV with two passengers had left the road and crashed into a tree.

The South Kitsap Fire Department determined that the passenger, a woman, was dead at the scene and the driver, a man, was in serious condition.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Deputies said there was no suspicion that drugs or alcohol were involved, nor did they suspect that speed was the cause of the accident.
