Packers QB Malik Willis admits he's “running at full speed” as he prepares to play the Colts in Week 2

Willis joined the Packers via a trade on August 26, 11 days before Green Bay faced the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He spent most of the game as a backup, watching Love run the offense in an up-and-down game before Love's knee injury forced Willis into action.

His two snaps didn't go well. He missed his target on the first attempt and with just three seconds left, Willis couldn't make a desperation throw and was instead sacked by Zack Baun, ending the game.

It wasn't an encouraging sample size, and it was admittedly small. It was also reminiscent of Willis' performance in Tennessee during his rookie season, which prompted the Titans to sign Joshua Dobbs from the Lions' practice squad and start him eight days later.

The compensation for Willis – a seventh-round pick – was indicative of what the Titans thought of him when they decided to move on. But with Willis now in Green Bay and preparing to be back in the starting lineup, that's all in the past.

He will be used in many more situations in Week 2 than he was in Week 1, and Packers fans will hope he performs better.
