Indianapolis Colts vs. Green Bay Packers odds, expert picks, how to watch: Packers are underdogs at home without Jordan Love

Week 1 was disappointing for both the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts. The Packers lost to the Eagles and have to continue without injured quarterback Jordan Love. AFC South rival Houston held the Colts in check, while Indianapolis suffered from a leaky run defense. With the quarterback switch from Love (MCL sprain) to third backup Malik Willis for Green Bay, the Colts are the favorites by a few points in the away game at Lambeau Field.

Willis joined the Packers late in a camp trade and has only been with Green Bay for two weeks. Although Willis offers the Packers a dual-threat option after 123 rushing yards in eight appearances as a rookie for the Titans in 2022, he also represents a significant step down from Love as a passer.

Green Bay will need to continue to build its running game to support its inexperienced backup QB. On a chaotic Brazilian field, the Packers runners, led by running back Josh Jacobs, still managed 163 yards at 7.8 yards per carry against Philadelphia. Indianapolis allowed 213 rushing yards against Houston in Week 1, which could lead to Green Bay relying heavily on the running game. However, red zone efficiency is a focus area for Green Bay after they scored just one touchdown in four games in Week 1.

Indianapolis stayed in the game against Houston thanks to some great plays. Anthony Richardson threw two touchdown passes of 54 yards each and ran for 56 yards and a touchdown. The former top-five pick is an electrifying playmaker who can do damage on any play. Running back Jonathan Taylor should see a lot of action for the Colts after Green Bay's defense allowed 132 yards and three touchdowns to Saquon Barkley.
