Green Bay Packers downgrade QB Jordan Love to questionable

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers downgraded quarterback Jordan Love to questionable on Saturday, reducing his chances of playing Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Love's participation was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, although he had not practiced since spraining his left knee in the opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

The initial prognosis for Love's injury was three to four weeks. The Packers did not place Love on the injured list because they expect him to miss fewer than four games.

Malik Willis is expected to start Sunday and the Packers have signed Sean Clifford from the practice squad to serve as Willis' replacement.

Willis was acquired from the Titans in a trade on August 26. He has made three NFL starts – all during his 2022 rookie season in Tennessee. The Titans went 1-2 in those games, and Willis has not thrown any passes for over 100 yards in any of those starts.
