Luton triple murder: Victim Juliana Prosper 'will be terribly missed' | UK news

A woman killed in a triple murder in Luton “will be terribly missed”, a friend told Sky News.

Juliana Prosper, 48, was found dead in an apartment around 5:30 a.m. Friday along with Kyle Prosper, 16, and Giselle Prosper, 13.

Police arrested 18-year-old Nicholas Prosper and charged him with triple murder and several weapons offenses.

A friend of the victim said Juliana Prosper “lived for her children” and was “a positive person who we will miss terribly.”

In a statement to X, the headmaster of Lea Manor High School said they were “deeply shocked” by the death of Giselle Prosper.

“Giselle was a beautiful soul and a model student. She excelled in all subjects and will be sorely missed, especially by her friends in Year 9.”

Kyle Prosper's school called the incident “devastating” and expressed its “deepest condolences” to his family.

A statement from Cardinal Newman Catholic School said: “This is devastating news for all who knew and loved Kyle, and it will take some time to process the profound loss.”

“We know this will be a difficult time for students and staff, and we will do everything we can to support them with love and compassion.

“We extend our deepest condolences to Kyle's family for their immeasurable loss, to his friends and to everyone in the neighboring schools who are dealing with their own loss.”

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Crime Unit, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the three people who sadly lost their lives yesterday and their families.”

“Although formal identification has not yet been made, the next of kin of those we believe to have died have been informed and are being assisted by specialist officers. We ask that their privacy is respected at this unimaginably difficult time.”

DS Hall praised the officers involved in the investigation, particularly those who were first on the scene “and were confronted with such horrific circumstances”.

He added: “Officers will remain at the scene over the coming days as we continue our investigations. We will also be stationing additional officers in the area and surrounding areas to reassure the community during this difficult time.”

Prosper was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Luton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
