7-year-old girl hit in hit-and-run in Sonoma County: CHP

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – The California Highway Patrol is searching for the driver who struck a 7-year-old girl with a car and threw her to the ground.

The incident was reported just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, on Green Valley Road north of Sullivan Road, said Santa Rosa CHP spokesman David deRutte.

CHP officers determined that a mother was walking with her children on the east shoulder of the highway when a white car traveling north on Green Valley drifted to the right and struck the child.
