Waterloo Regional Police respond to a shooting incident in Cambridge that left one person injured

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a shooting incident in Cambridge.

On September 14, 2024 at 9 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the area of ​​Elgin Street North and Northview Heights Drive.

A 19-year-old Cambridge man suffered a gunshot wound to the lower body and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and have no concerns about public safety.

The investigation is being continued by the WRPS General Investigations Unit.
