Crown Princess Mette-Marit's son Marius Borg Høiby arrested for assault for the second time

“I suffer from several mental disorders that have caused me difficulties throughout my childhood and adult life and continue to cause me problems. I have a long history of substance abuse, for which I have been treated in the past. I will now resume this treatment and take it very seriously.”

Marius continued: “Drug use and my diagnoses do not excuse what happened in the apartment in Frogner on Sunday night last weekend. I want to take responsibility for what I did and will explain myself truthfully to the police.”

After the allegations against Høiby became known, two of his ex-girlfriends, Juliane Snekkestad and Nora Haukland, accused him of psychological and physical violence.

The charges have now been expanded to include reckless conduct and disregard of a restraining order, as well as a previous case of assault, Oslo police said on Saturday.
