Two dead found in southwest Charlotte – murder and suicide

CHARLOTTE, NC – Police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide after two people were found dead in southwest Charlotte Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon in the 9200 block of Kings Parade Boulevard near South Tryon Street.

When the police arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Preliminary investigations indicate this shooting was a murder-suicide in which the suspect committed suicide, police said. No other suspects are currently being sought.

This incident is still under investigation.
