One dead after crash on Pennsylvania Turnpike in Penn Township on Saturday | Local news

One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Penn Township on Saturday morning.

At approximately 11:20 a.m. Saturday, Lancaster County-Wide Communications reported a collision involving a PennDOT maintenance vehicle in the westbound lanes, approximately two miles east of the Lancaster-Lebanon exit on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

According to the emergency services, one person died from injuries sustained in the accident. At least one other person was taken to hospital.

The westbound lanes of the turnpike were closed until 5:40 p.m. as emergency crews responded to the accident.

The state police are investigating the accident.
