Jane's Addiction cancels concert after argument on stage – 105.7 The Point

Jane's Addiction has canceled its concert on Sunday in Bridgeport, Connecticut, after members Perry Farrell And David Navarro were involved in an onstage altercation during their show in Boston on Friday.

In an Instagram story, the “Been Caught Stealing” group writes: “We would like to sincerely apologize to our fans for the events that took place. [Friday].”

“For this reason, we will [Sunday] Evening show in Bridgeport,” the post continues.

As previously reported, Farrell angrily threw his shoulder at Navarro toward the end of a song. While Navarro tried to keep Farrell at bay with his arm, Farrell continued to talk to him before striking. A crew member then came onstage to calm Farrell down, but when he fought back, other stagehands quickly surrounded him.

Jane's tour, which also included Love and rockets on the program, is their first US appearance with the classic line-up of Farrell, Navarro, bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins in over 14 years. Avery, who left the group in 2010, rejoined in 2022, while Navarro has been excluded from the group since 2021 due to Long COVID.

In July, Jane's released a new song called “Imminent Redemption,” the first fresh material from the classic lineup in 34 years. In a Rolling Stone In an interview published in August, Navarro said that a new Jane's record would “most likely” happen.
