Los Angeles Rams lose star WR to Arizona Cardinals

ARIZONA – Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is questionable about returning to action against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 due to an ankle injury.

It's unclear exactly when Kupp got injured, but some people on social media believe they found the game where it happened.

Kupp – one of the best wideouts in the NFL – has been the focus of the Cardinals' preparation this week, especially after fellow receiver Puka Nacua was placed on the injured list earlier in the week with a knee injury.

Kupp finished the game with four catches for 37 yards. The Rams trailed 24-3 when they went to the locker room.

With a pretty weak secondary, many thought Kupp would put up a huge stat line in Week 2. The Buffalo Bills seemed to be able to move the ball at will against Arizona last week, and it's never easy to doubt a Sean McVay offense.

However, the Cardinals kept Kupp and the rest of the LA offense in check early on, stopping the Rams on a fourth-and-short attempt early in the game, after which Matthew Stafford and Co. made three consecutive outs.

Kupp – a Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP – holds the following NFL records:

-Most yards by a wide receiver in a single season (1,965)
-Most passes in a single postseason (33)
-Most receiving yards in a single season (including postseason) (2,425)
-Most passes in a single season (including postseason) (178)

He was also the league's Offensive Player of the Year in 2021.

This article will be updated if he returns, but that is unlikely.
