Sunday Night Football: Rome Odunze active, Keenan Allen inactive for Bears-Texans

Of Chicago's two key receivers whose status was in question until Sunday, one is active.

Bears rookie Rome Odunze will play in Sunday night's game against the Texans, while veteran Keenan Allen is ineligible.

Odunze is battling a knee injury and was only able to participate in limited training on Friday. Allen has a heel injury and has been absent all week.

Defensive end DeMarcus Walker is back in action after being listed as questionable due to a foot injury.

Receiver Velus Jones Jr., fullback Khari Blasingame, offensive lineman Kiran Amegadjie, defensive end Dominique Robinson and linebacker Noah Sewell are also not active for Chicago.

On the other hand, running back Dameon Pierce is unavailable due to a thigh injury. Center Juice Scruggs (groin) is also unavailable. The participation of both players was questionable.

The team's other inactive players are safety MJ Stewart (knee), receiver John Metchi, linebacker Rashad Weaver and linebacker Jamal Hill.
