Helicopter crash in remote Jefferson County under investigation

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a helicopter crash Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred in a remote area in northwest Jefferson County.

When the crash occurred, there were three passengers on board the private helicopter. However, nothing is known about their condition.

According to a press release from the sheriff's office, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has been notified of the accident as it is still under investigation.

Further details will be released in coordination with the NTSB and FAA.
