Will Smith, creator of “Slow Horses,” jokes after his 2024 Emmy win: “I come in peace”

Will Smith – no, not that Will Smith – is a winner of the 2024 Emmy Awards!

At the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 15, Slow horses Creator Will Smith won the award for Outstanding Screenplay for a Drama Series. As he accepted his award, he made a joke about the film's star Smith's infamous slap at the 2022 Oscars.

Slow horses Creator Smith is also known for his work on series such as Veep, The thicket And Avenue 5 The author and producer has been nominated for a total of five Primetime Emmy Awards and won two more times, in 2016 and 2015, for producing HBO's Veep.

In his speech, Smith thanked many of his employees in Slow horsesincluding Best Actor nominee Gary Oldman “and the entire cast” and “the entire crew for creating the very best version of the script.” Oldman, Jack Lowden and Jonathan Pryce were each nominated for their roles in the series, in addition to the show's nominations for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Series.
