CPD takes female juvenile into custody accused of threatening behavior at Parkside School

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus police have taken a minor into custody as part of their investigation into a SnapChat shooting threat against Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp.'s Parkside Elementary School.

According to Columbus Police Department spokesman Sergeant Skylar Berry, the teen was taken to the Bartholomew County Juvenile Center on Sunday evening and charged with intimidation and making false statements.

Although the juvenile is in custody, CPD, Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police will work with BCSC school security officers to keep all schools safe on Monday, Berry said.
