Triple murder suspect Nicholas Prosper from Luton in court

An 18-year-old has appeared in court accused of murdering his mother and siblings in a high-rise building in Luton.

Bedfordshire Police believe the victims were 48-year-old Juliana Prosper, 16-year-old Kyle Prosper and 13-year-old Giselle Prosper – all from Leabank – but no official identification has yet been made.

Nicholas Prosper, also from Leabank, appeared before Luton Magistrates' Court wearing a grey prison tracksuit and confirmed only his name and date of birth in his speech.

His next appearance at Luton Crown Court is scheduled for September 18.

Police believe the victims are Kyle Prosper (16), Juliana Prosper (48) and Giselle Prosper (13).

As Mr. Prosper was led from the dock, his father, Ray Prosper, shouted, “I still love you, son. It's not your fault, OK?” and then cried.

The defendant is also accused of “several firearms offenses” in connection with the incident on Friday morning, police said.

Flowers were laid outside the block in the Marsh Farm area of ​​Luton where the bodies were found.

At around 05:30 a.m. (CEST), officers were called to the apartments and found three people fatally injured.
