Monica Bellucci shares a previously unpublished photo with her doppelgänger on an important occasion

Monica Bellucci's Daughter Deva celebrated her 20th birthday on September 12, marking a milestone! It was certainly an emotional day for the actress, who is mother to two daughters she has with ex-husband Vincent Cassel.

To celebrate the special occasion, Monica took to Instagram to post previously unseen photos of the mother-daughter duo when they were little. In the black-and-white photo, Monica can be seen picking up her daughter and lifting Deva above her head. The little one had dark, curly hair and wore a white dress, while her mother looked casual and chic in a cable-knit sweater and her own black hair pulled back in a low ponytail.

The photo was the epitome of motherly love and Monica captioned it in Italian, which translates to: “My love, happy birthday!!!” She added: “So much happiness for this important day and for your life!!! Thank you for being there…”

The photo was certainly a contrast to Deva today, as she grew up as the spitting image of her mother. The 20-year-old has inherited her mother's stunning looks and taken the modeling industry by storm – and Monica is her biggest fan.

The 59-year-old regularly posts her daughter's editorial looks, most recently her September cover of Vogue Italia, where Deva wore a dramatic look. Her hair was covered by an embroidered hat and she posed portrait-style with a bold, red pout that stood out against her porcelain skin. She paired the bold lips with an intense smokey eye and feather-like eyebrows.

Deva began modeling at the age of 14, inspired by her mother's successful career in front of the camera.

“One day I accompanied my mother to a shoot and the photographer wanted to take some pictures of me,” she told Numéro. “It felt very familiar and natural to be in front of the camera and I had a lot of fun. That's when I knew I wanted to continue down this path.”

Monica gave birth to her child at the age of 39 and told Vanity Fair about her pregnancy: “I don't feel strong or weak, just balanced. I don't want to be anywhere else, do anything else or have any other body.”

She told YOU Magazine that she believes it was the right decision to wait to have children: “Before, I wasn't ready to become a mother.”

“I wasn't ready for something so incredibly big, something that would change my life forever. I think it was because I'm an only child. In some ways, I've always felt like a child – too self-absorbed. I was afraid I wouldn't be ready to give myself away.”
