Peewee Longway among 101 arrested in gang and drug case in Columbus, GA

Federal authorities raided Columbus, Georgia, and rapper Peewee Longway was among 101 people arrested in a massive drug raid.

Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman announced “Operation Sweet Silence” and confirmed the arrest of 101 people and the seizure of drugs, weapons and cash. According to Complex, 250 agents from federal, local and state officials were involved in the operation.

During the raid, 7.1 kilograms of fentanyl, 57.21 kilograms of cocaine, 55,248 pounds of marijuana and 1.3 kilograms of heroin were seized. The estimated value of the seizure is over $200 million.

“If you are involved in criminal activity, I want to send you this message. Just because your name didn't come up in yesterday's arrest, I don't want you to reoffend,” the sheriff said. “I don't want you to breathe a sigh of relief or breathe a sigh of relief because our work isn't done. Just because you haven't been arrested doesn't mean we're not keeping an eye on you. So don't get too comfortable because our work isn't done.”

There is currently no update on Longway’s role.
