Oklahoma lawmakers react to Trump incident on social media

Former President Donald Trump was declared unharmed after an alleged assassination attempt near his golf club in West Palm Beach.

After the Secret Service shooting became known, several Oklahoma lawmakers expressed their opinions on the incident on social media.

Senator James Lankford wrote on X: “Cindy and I are praying for President Trump's safety following today's disturbing incident and are grateful for the Secret Service's quick response. Violence has no place in our society.”

Senator Markwayne Mullin wrote on X: “As we await further details on the incident in Palm Beach, Christie and I are praying for President Trump and his family. We are very happy to hear that he is safe.”

Rep. Kevin Hern wrote on X: “As we await further details on the incident at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Tammy and I are praying for President Trump and his family. We are very relieved to hear that he is safe.”

Deputy Hern also made the following statement:

Join Tammy and me in praying for President Trump and his family. We are relieved that he is safe and grateful for the quick action of the Secret Service to protect him. Just 64 days after a bullet nearly took his life, this cowardly act demands a full investigation and the harshest punishment. Political violence has no place in America. Threats against President Trump are unacceptable and must be universally condemned.

Rep. Josh Brecheen posted on X: “Thank God President Trump is safe.”

Representative Brecheen also released the following statement:

Thank God, President Trump is safe. While we continue to wait for more details, one thing is certain: President Trump will never stop fighting for the American people. Please join me in praying for Providence's continued protection of President Trump.

Rep. Stephanie Bice wrote on X: “As we await further details, my thoughts and prayers are with President Trump and his entire family. I am glad they are safe.”
