Lexington man arrested after finding 5 explosive devices | Crime

In July, officials with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office received a report of possible physical abuse of juveniles. As part of the investigation, a search warrant was recently obtained for Hauser's residence at 4482 Holloway Church Road.

During the search of the house on Friday, detectives seized five explosive devices and two unsecured firearms.

Hauser was arrested without incident. He was held on undisclosed bail and is scheduled for court on October 7.

No further information on the investigation has been released.

According to the NC Department of Adult Correction, Hauser was previously convicted of second-degree kidnapping and assault by strangulation.

The Davidson County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Winston-Salem Police Department Bomb Disposal Squad and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Holloway Church Road was closed for several hours on Friday while officers secured the explosive devices.
