2 flown out after crash in Glasgow

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Two people were injured in a collision in Glasgow on Sunday.

According to spokesman Terry Flatt, Glasgow police responded to a personal injury crash at the intersection of North Jackson Highway and the River Lake Church parking lot.

Authorities found that a 2008 Honda Civic driven by Faye Groce attempted to turn from the church parking lot onto North Jackson Highway, striking a 2016 Ford Escape driven by Macayla Jernigan.

Both Groce and Jernigan were taken to TJ Samson Hospital and later flown out by Air Evac and Air Methods. Two juveniles in Jerigan's vehicle were not injured.

The accident was investigated by Lt. Steven Fields, who was assisted by Barren/Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Fire Department.
