Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco reportedly suffered a broken fibula in the game against the Bengals and will likely end up on the injured list

The Kansas City Chiefs picked up a win against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, taking a 2-0 lead, but lost a key player along the way: star running back Isiah Pacheco.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Pacheco fractured his right fibula in the Chiefs' 26-25 win and will “likely be out for some time.” ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Pacheco will be placed on the injured list, meaning he will be out for at least four weeks before he can return.

The fibula is the long, thin bone in the calf that begins at the ankle along with the tibia. More tests will reportedly be conducted on Monday to determine the severity of Pacheco's injury and how long he will be out. He could be out for just a few weeks, but it could be months before Pacheco is back on the field.

Head coach Andy Reid didn't have much to say about the injury when speaking to the media after the game. He had not yet spoken to Pacheco, who was still undergoing tests. When Pacheco left the stadium, he was seen wearing a walking boot and using crutches.
