2 arrests after seizure of fentanyl, marijuana, cocaine, pistol and $33,772

Gregory Lee

Two people were arrested and fentanyl, marijuana, cocaine and $33,772 were seized on September 10.

Detectives from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Narcotics and Special Investigations Unit, with assistance from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, executed a search warrant at 3127 Dwight Street.

Upon arrival, the residents refused to leave the house despite multiple announcements that the sheriff's office was on site with a search warrant. After a short time, Shakayla Nicole Watkins left the house without incident. After refusing to leave the house for a while, Gregory Antonio Lee also eventually left and surrendered to members of the SWAT team. Neither person was injured.

During the search of the apartment, the following items were seized:

  • 1.8 pounds of fentanyl (835 grams)
  • 0.6 pounds of cocaine (299 grams)
  • 0.08 pounds of marijuana (39 grams)
  • $33,772 in US currency
  • Glock 43x pistol
  • Illegal pill press

Sheriff Austin Garrett said, “Obviously these two individuals did not read our last press release and did not heed the warning I have already issued several times… If, as these individuals have found out, you decide to be involved in drug trafficking in this county, the next thing my narcotics agents and SWAT team could be knocking on your door executing a search warrant. We are coming to get you, and as you can see, we are still making house calls.”

Lee is accused of:

  • Manipulation of evidence
  • Medicines for resale (X3)
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Ms Watkins is accused of:

  • Manipulation of evidence
  • Medicines for resale (X2)
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

As the investigation progresses, additional charges may be brought and other parties related to this case may face criminal prosecution.
