Kamala Harris to hold rally in Madison on Friday | News

MADISON, Wisconsin – Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a rally in Madison on Friday, her campaign confirmed to News 3 Now.

While details of the rally were not immediately known, campaign officials confirmed that it will take place in the early evening. Just days earlier, the Associated Press reported that Harris would visit Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin to strengthen the so-called “blue wall.”

This is just Harris' latest visit to the Badger State, and Madison in particular. Last month, she held a rally in Milwaukee during the Democratic National Convention and visited Madison in March. This year, she has made eight stops in Wisconsin, including four since President Joe Biden dropped his re-election bid.

Her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, has also made several visits to the state, including a stop in Wausau last week and attending a rally in Milwaukee on Labor Day.

A Marquette Law School poll released last week found support for Harris growing in the state, with the vice president leading 52 to 48 among Wisconsin's registered voters in a head-to-head comparison.
