Man dies, woman hospitalized with stab wounds after incident at home in Milford, Massachusetts

An incident at a residence in Milford, Massachusetts, left a man dead and a woman suffering stab wounds on Monday. Police said they received a call shortly after 9 a.m. of a woman screaming inside a home on South Bow Street. When officers arrived, they found a man, believed to be in his 30s, dead in the basement with stab wounds. A woman who also suffered stab wounds was taken to a local hospital and then transported by rescue helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center. Her condition is considered critical, District Attorney Joe Early Jr. said. “Milford dispatch received a call from a woman screaming for help,” Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino said. “That is not an outcome we want at this time. There are a lot of variables at play and this is an active investigation.” No names have been released. The incident remains under investigation. Police said there is no danger to the public.

When officers arrived, they found a man, believed to be in his thirties, dead from stab wounds in the basement.

A woman who also suffered stab wounds was taken to a local hospital and then transported by medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center. She is in critical condition, said District Attorney Joe Early Jr.

“Milford dispatch received a call from a woman screaming for help,” said Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino. “This is not an outcome we want at this time. There are many variables at play and the investigation is ongoing.”

No names were released.

The incident remains under investigation.

The police said there was no danger to the public.
