1 arrested after armed robbery at Henderson pharmacy

HENDERSON, Texas (KLTV) – A suspect was arrested after Henderson police responded to an armed robbery at a pharmacy on Monday.

At around 7:07 a.m., officers were called to a report of an armed robbery at the Strong Hurt Pharmacy at 111 East Main Street, according to a Henderson police news release. Pharmacy staff advised around 8 a.m. that the pharmacy was temporarily closing and that everyone was safe but frightened.

During the investigation on site, officers identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. At around 10 a.m., the person was found and arrested without incident. Police have not yet released the suspect's name. The press release stated that several items were seized.

The pharmacy has been open for business again since around 11:30 a.m.

The Rusk County District Attorney's Office, Texas Highway Patrol, Rusk County Sheriff's Office and Texas Rangers assisted in this investigation.
