NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two accused speeders were arrested over the weekend, according to Metro Nashville Police.

Police said 27-year-old Alexis Palacios-Escalante of Murfreesboro and 21-year-old Savyon Dequantez Morton of Nashville were arrested for reckless driving on Nolensville Pike.

He was charged with reckless driving and evading arrest, but was released on $8,000 bail.

“Since March 2023, 47 people have been arrested for street racing in Nashville,” the MNPD announced.
