The last track of their Dylan cover set Positive 4th Street, The most shameful murder was originally the centerpiece of Dylan's 2020 album Rough and violent Ways. The track is a haunting, sprawling epic that delves into the cultural landscape of 20th century America, weaving together history, music, politics and tragedy. Block's interpretation brings her signature blend of raw emotion and masterful guitar work to Dylan's poetic lyrics, lending her own distinctive voice to this modern classic.

A break from her award-winning The power women of the blues Series – which has shed light on female songwriters and performers on its three most recent albums – Positive 4th Street shows Block putting her skills as a fingerpicker and traditional blues arranger to work for one of the most respected artists and songwriters of all time.

Rory plays all instruments himself, combining acoustic and slide guitars as well as drums and acoustic bass to create a unique arrangement of Dylan's songbook.

Block is a gold award-winning artist and seven-time Blues Music Awards Winner, widely considered the best female performer of traditional country blues. Her dedication as a keeper of the blues with an ear for finding the soul of every song she plays has earned her praise from the blues and roots music community.
